With Osteoporosis being so prevalent in Ireland, ( 25% of men and 50% of women aged over 50 yrs ) we all should be looking after our bones. Fear not if you are not a fan of dairy, you can get calcium from plenty of other food sources, including sesame seeds, chia seeds, almonds, sardines, brocolli,(beans and lentils. Being physically active also helps our bone density. Studies have shown that weight-bearing exercises, in particular, help to promote bone regeneration.
